The Role
- Client Relationship Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for enterprise clients, owning the client relationship and ensuring satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
- Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and C-suite executives to align project deliverables with business objectives.
- Act as the client's trusted advisor, providing insights and recommendations to drive business growth and innovation.
- Project Management:
- Oversee end-to-end project delivery for Shopify-based eCommerce platforms, including migrations and custom implementations.
- Create and manage comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and milestones.
- Ensure project objectives align with client business drivers and are delivered on time and within budget.
- Monitor and manage dependencies, risks, and issues, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
- Product Ownership:
- Define and prioritize product roadmaps, requirements, and user stories in collaboration with clients and internal teams.
- Work closely with developers, designers, and QA engineers to ensure the successful implementation of features and functionalities.
- Triage and manage defects, ensuring high-quality deliverables and securing QA sign-off.
- Collaboration and Governance:
- Facilitate communication and collaboration across cross-functional teams, third-party vendors, and clients.
- Provide regular governance updates, including status reports, budget tracking, and resource utilization.
- Supervise third-party solutions to ensure successful integration and alignment with project goals.
Requirements
- Professional Experience:
- Proven experience as a Delivery Manager, Product Owner, Digital Project Manager, or similar role, with a focus on eCommerce and retail.
- Extensive knowledge of Shopify Plus and its ecosystem, including platform migrations, custom development, and integrations.
- Experience managing multi-million-dollar budgets and complex project portfolios.
- Client Engagement Skills:
- Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and C-suite executives.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Project Management Expertise:
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, including experience with Scrum or Kanban frameworks.
- Proven track record of delivering large-scale eCommerce solutions on time and within budget.
- Expertise in creating and managing project plans, tracking dependencies, and mitigating risks.
- Leadership and Collaboration:
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and align cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrable ability to resolve disputes, overcome challenges, and maintain a positive attitude in high-pressure situations.
- Required Qualifications:
- Experience in managing platform migrations from systems like Magento, Salesforce, or BigCommerce to Shopify Plus.
- Familiarity with ERP, OMS, and CMS integrations (e.g., NetSuite, Sanity, or Manhattan).
- Shopify certifications are a plus.
