Key Responsibilities
- Perform asbestos, lead-based paint (LBP), and microbial/moisture intrusion assessments, along with abatement oversight, with an approximate 50/50 split between field and office work
- Conduct safety and compliance assessments in accordance with regulatory standards and client requirements
- Support additional environmental services through cross-training, including:
- Exposure assessments
- Workplace safety evaluations
- Stormwater compliance inspections
- Soil and groundwater sampling
- Noise and air monitoring
- Aboveground Storage Tank (AST) inspections
- Execute work in alignment with project work plans, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and direction from project managers
- Manage scheduling and logistics across all project phases, from coordination and fieldwork through reporting
- Prepare clear, accurate, and technically sound client-ready reports using project-specific templates
- Collaborate with internal teams to support project delivery and ongoing professional development
- Maintain and proactively pursue relevant certifications, including 40-Hour HAZWOPER, CAC, and/or CSST
Qualifications
- 2+ years of professional experience conducting asbestos surveys and mold/moisture intrusion inspections as an AHERA-accredited inspector (in any state)
- Current AHERA certification required
- California Certified Asbestos Consultant (CAC) and/or Certified Site Surveillance Technician (CSST) preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Microbiology, or a related field
