The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented, high-ownership FSO to protect our people, customers, and programs. Your mission is to ensure our security program remains fully compliant and our cleared workforce is supported end-to-end. You will serve as the organizational authority on all matters related to facility and personnel clearances, and SCIF operations. You will also bring discipline and data hygiene to government contracts and billing status tracking. Your reliability in both domains will make you an indispensable part of the team.

- Owning and maintaining a fully compliant industrial security program under NISPOM (32 CFR Part 117) and DCSA requirements
- Managing the full personnel security clearance lifecycle including submissions, reinvestigations, access verifications, and changes
- Overseeing SCIF access, operations, and compliance
- Serving as the primary liaison with DCSA, IC security authorities, and Government Security Representatives
- Supporting needs related to classified material handling, storage, transmission, and destruction meet all regulatory standards
- Supporting the Cape team through security training and problem solving
- Working alongside Finance and Federal Go-to-Market to ensure that invoices and billing are accurately reported in WAWF and IPP, while maintaining audit-ready records
- Tracking contract billing milestones and resolving WAWF discrepancies or rejections in coordination with Finance.
Are you the candidate we are looking for? (Requirements for the role) You have
- Security Clearance: Active TS//SCI; U.S. Citizenship required.
- Industrial Security Expertise: Minimum three years of direct FSO experience within DoW, USG, or at a possessing contractor facility - with demonstrated command of NISPOM, DCSA compliance, and the personnel security clearance process.
- Systems Fluency: Proficiency in DISS, NISS, eQIP/eAPP, and associated personnel security platforms; experience with WAWF and IPP for invoice submission and billing tracking is a nice to have.
- Certification: FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities certification (CDSE) or equivalent completed or in progress.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to manage high volumes of documentation - clearance records, classified mail, billing submissions - with accuracy and consistency.
- Communication: Clear and professional written and verbal communication with government counterparts, program leadership, and internal staff.
Bonus Points (The Ideal Candidate)
- SAP / Compartmented Program Experience: Prior exposure to Special Access Programs or compartmented environments, including experience with SCGs and program protection plans.
- COMSEC Background: Familiarity with COMSEC duties or experience in the telecommunications industry.
- Contract Administration Acumen: Understanding of government contracting processes including DD254 documentation, subcontractor oversight, and the relationship between billing compliance and program performance.
- Small Business or Startup Experience: Prior FSO experience in a lean, fast-moving organization where ownership and adaptability were essential.
Compensation
We offer competitive compensation that is geo-adjusted based on your location, along with meaningful equity so you share in the value you help create. Salary range for this role in Arlington, VA is $90,000-$120,000 depending on experience and interview performance. Our benefits include:
