The Role
We are looking for a Founding Product Director who thrives in the 0-to-1 phase. You are a Player-Coach: one day collaborating with Andrew Ng's team on the long-term agentic roadmap, the next day in the weeds with engineers defining telemetry for a local NPU-bound "Butler" app.
You will own the product definition for our flagship experience. Your goal is to prove that an AI PC is fundamentally different from a legacy PC -- moving the industry from "search and click" to "intent and execution."
What You Will Do
The Coach: Vision and Strategy
- Define the Category: Work with the founders to articulate the "Intent Orchestration" roadmap. What does the world look like when 100M PCs have a "Butler" by default?
- Build the Ecosystem: Develop the strategy for our open-source community and the "Delivery Layer." How do we enable third-party developers to build on our hardware-forward architecture?
- OEM Stewardship: Act as the primary product partner for Acer and future OEMs, ensuring our product fits seamlessly into the hardware lifecycle of a mass-market device.
The Player: Execution and Craft
- Ship the Butlers: Lead end-to-end development of our first three flagship apps. Write the specs, define success metrics, and obsess over "Time to Magic" for a non-technical user.
- Hardware-Software Synthesis: Work closely with ML engineers to understand edge computing constraints (latency, privacy, power) and turn them into product advantages.
- Iterative Loop: Build feedback systems to capture how millions of Acer users interact with their AI PCs, turning raw data into actionable product refinements.
What We Are Looking For
- The "Startup Native" Pedigree: 8+ years in Product Management, with at least 3 years in an early-stage (Seed/Series A) leadership role. You know how to build a product team from scratch.
- Technical Depth: You do not just "use" AI -- you understand the difference between cloud-based LLMs and edge-based NPUs. You can hold your own in a room with world-class ML researchers.
- Agentic Intuition: You have a strong point of view on the future of Agentic UX. You believe the future of software is not more apps, but more integrated intelligence.
- Distribution Mindset: You understand the unique power of a pre-install moat. You know how to design products that provide immediate value to a user who did not necessarily choose to download them.
- Communication: You can simplify the most complex "hardware-forward" concepts for a Series A investor or a non-technical grandmother using an Acer laptop for the first time.
