Requirements
Why this role matters
ICEYE is scaling global manufacturing and local operational capability across ICEYE sites, joint ventures, and customer-hosted locations. To deliver reliably at that scale, we need a capability system that makes teams productive fast, keeps quality high, and remains consistent as procedures, tooling, and products evolve.
As the Head of Global Manufacturing Capability & Training, you’ll build that system end-to-end: defining role-based competencies, creating world-class training paths (hands-on + blended), standing up a staged training center, and ensuring new and existing teams—across AIT, supply chain, quality, and production operations—are trained, certified, and ready to execute.
This is a leadership role for someone who can combine industrialization mindset + hardware manufacturing credibility + learning system design, and who is motivated to build something foundational for ICEYE’s next growth phase.
Your day-to-day responsibilities
- Own the global capability model: define role taxonomy, competency frameworks, training matrices, and certification criteria across manufacturing and production support roles (AIT, supply chain/logistics, quality, stock management, etc.).
- Reinvent the training operating model: create a modern training system (blended learning + hands-on lab + supervised practice) that measurably reduces time-to-competency and improves first-pass quality.
- Stand up a staged training center: design and execute an MVP training center that solves immediate ramp needs, then evolve it into a scalable “academy” with clear governance, capacity planning, and content lifecycle management.
- Enable global deployments: plan and deliver training for new sites and localization programs (ICEYE sites, JV operations, customer locations), including onboarding, role qualification, and readiness sign-off aligned to site go-live schedules.
- Build scalable content and delivery: develop training modules, practical exercises, and assessment tools; establish a train-the-trainer network and ensure materials remain aligned with current procedures and tooling.
- Partner across functions: work closely with production/AIT engineering, quality, supply chain, program teams, and site leadership to identify skill gaps, prioritize training investments, and prevent ramp disruption.
- Measure and continuously improve: define KPIs, track completion and certification status, audit training records, and drive continuous improvement based on feedback and operational outcomes.
What we’re looking for
Must haves
- Proven experience building and scaling technical capability programs in hardware manufacturing environments (e.g., aerospace, high-reliability electronics, automotive, robotics).
- Strong understanding of production ramp-up / industrialization and what it takes to make teams operational quickly without compromising quality.
- Demonstrated ability to create competency frameworks, skill matrices, role authorization criteria, and structured certification pathways.
- Hands-on credibility with production operations (AIT/integration/test, production support workflows, quality systems, logistics/stock management interfaces).
- Ability to operate at both strategy and execution level: build an MVP quickly while designing for long-term scalability.
- Strong stakeholder leadership: can align cross-functional priorities and drive adoption across sites, cultures, and organizations.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills; able to translate procedures into clear training modules and assessments.
Nice to haves
- Experience setting up or running a training center / academy in a manufacturing context.
- Familiarity with cleanroom and ESD-controlled environments, and training for ESD/tooling/safety compliance.
- Experience delivering training as part of customer/JV localization programs (contractual deliverables, readiness evidence packs).
- Experience with digital learning tooling (LMS, content management, analytics) and modern learning design methods.
Application Process
- TA screen
- Hiring manager interview
- Technical interview + task
- Final interview
