We’re looking for a full stack Software Engineer to join our Actionable Intelligence stream in Product Engineering. In this role, you’ll help evolve our Insights experience, building features that enable customers to explore data, uncover patterns, and turn complex information into clear, actionable outcomes.
This is not a traditional dashboarding problem. You’ll work on a product that brings together multiple data sources in the retail crime environment and helps customers make sense of them. You’ll also contribute to innovative solutions that introduce more flexible, agent-like experiences, enabling users to ask questions of their data rather than rely solely on dashboards.
You’ll contribute across frontend and backend systems, taking well-defined problems from idea through to production, while continuing to build your technical depth, judgment, and independence in a supportive team environment.

You’ll be reporting to Georgia Barnett, Engineering Lead
I've spent the last decade as a software engineer across SaaS companies of different sizes, from large enterprise to early-stage start-ups. What I love about software engineering is the variety of problems you encounter. SaaS takes you into all kinds of industries, and with each one you learn how it operates and where its real problems live. Combining critical thinking and creativity to design solutions to those problems is what drives me. Most of my career has been in the frontend, where I found real joy in bringing experiences to life. I now lead a product stream at Auror, where we design and build the platform's insights capability, pulling together data from across the business to surface what matters and turn it into action.
I care deeply about building an environment where people are empowered in their work. Where the team operates with high levels of trust and autonomy, and feel safe to take on new challenges while staying accountable to each other.
Outside of work, I love anything outdoors, whether that’s getting out into the backcountry for a few days of hiking, snowboarding in winter or time out on the water during summer. I have a Goldador pup who keeps me on my toes and have many unfinished crafty projects.

The Ministry of Magic is a secret government of the British and Irish wizarding community in the fictional universe of Harry Potter. It is led by the Minister for Magic, and is first mentioned in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. Throughout the novels, it is regularly depicted as corrupt, elitist and completely incompetent, with its high-ranking officials blind to ominous events and unwilling to take action against threats to wizard society. It is shown to be a totalitarian wizard ethnostate that controls the rights of wizards, muggles, house elves, and all other sentient creatures with only the humans with magical abilities being able to decide the rights of all. In Order of the Phoenix, Dolores Umbridge was placed at Hogwarts to observe the happenings within the school, and prevent the spread of news concerning the return of Lord Voldemort. It reaches a zenith of corruption, before being effectively taken over by Lord Voldemort. At the end of the final book, following Lord Voldemort's death, Kingsley Shacklebolt is revealed to have become the Minister of Magic.
