About the Role
We’re looking for a Jewelry Operations Manager to drive excellence in production efficiency, speed, quality, and cost optimisation. This role is responsible for ensuring customer inquiries are quoted and fulfilled at record speed, maintaining the highest product quality standards, and optimizing pricing through strategic vendor partnerships and internal efficiencies.
You’ll lead cross-functional coordination between design, manufacturing, and logistics teams to ensure on-time delivery and continuous improvement in service metrics.
Key Responsibilities
1. Speed & Efficiency
- Drive the fastest possible inquiry-to-quote turnaround time (target: under 12 hours).
- Streamline internal workflows between CAD design, production, and sales teams.
- Optimise Made-To-Order (MTO) delivery time to an average of less than 3 weeks.
- Identify process bottlenecks and implement automation or vendor process improvements to accelerate production cycles.
2. Quality Control
- Maintain jewelry return rates below 1% annually through robust QC practices.
- Collaborate with factories to ensure adherence to quality specifications and standards.
- Conduct regular quality reviews and feedback loops to prevent issues before they reach customers.
3. Vendor & Partner Management
- Communicate and work with manufacturing partners to ensure consistent quality and timely production.
- Keep track of negotiated SLAs aligned with Nivoda’s delivery, pricing, and quality goals to ensure on-time delivery of our products
4. Pricing & Cost Optimisation
- Partner with sourcing and procurement to secure best-in-market pricing while meeting margin targets.
- Support initiatives to increase FARPU by building the right product mix - right SKUs, right price, right quality, right speed.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with the in-house design team (Corel, CAD) to improve speed and accuracy of jewelry renderings.
- Work closely with sales and customer success teams to align production timelines with customer expectations.
- Conduct workshops with key customers to understand their jewelry sales processes and identify improvement opportunities.
6. Data & Reporting
- Leverage data tools (e.g ThoughtSpot, Excel, BI dashboards) to track inquiry fulfillment, production speed, and returns.
- Use data insights to drive continuous improvement across operations.
Qualifications
- 5+ years’ experience in jewelry manufacturing, supply chain management, or production operations (luxury or fashion experience preferred).
- Strong background in production planning, vendor management, and quality control.
- Proven success improving speed, quality, and cost in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
- Data-oriented mindset with proficiency in Excel, BI tools, or analytics platforms.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving capabilities.
