What You Will Do
- Owns the technical direction of frontend architecture across Vue.js applications running on 600M+ devices monthly in 25+ regions
- Designs and evolves our Micro Frontend Architecture
- Develops and maintains state-of-the-art web applications with a user-centric approach using Vue.js (Vue 3, Composition API, Pinia/Vuex)
- Writes reusable, well-tested code and creates/maintains scalable components
- Leads technical decision-making — writes RFCs, drives architectural reviews, and sets frontend standards across teams
- Improves the performance, scalability, and availability of our systems
- Troubleshoots interface software and debugs application code
- Leads, manages, and grows a team of frontend engineers — owning 1:1s, performance reviews, career development, and goal setting
- Mentors engineers across seniority levels and coaches them on both technical and career growth
- Fosters a culture of ownership, psychological safety, and continuous learning within the team
- Identifies skill gaps, creates development plans, and advocates for promotions and recognition
- Participates in hiring — interviews candidates, contributes to technical assessments, and helps grow the team
- Plans and prioritizes the team's roadmap in alignment with product and business goals; mentors sprint planning, backlog grooming, and capacity allocation
- Tracks team health metrics (velocity, quality, on-call load, engagement) and acts on them
- Represents the frontend team to senior leadership, communicating progress, risks, and trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders
- Drives cross-team alignment with product managers, designers, backend leads, QA, and SRE
What You Will Need
- 8+ years of professional experience as a Front-end Developer, with at least 2+ years in a Lead, Tech Lead, or Staff-level role
- Deep expertise in Vue.js (Vue 2 & Vue 3, Composition API) and its ecosystem (Vuex/Pinia, Vue Router)
- Strong in TypeScript, modern JavaScript (ES2020+), HTML5, and CSS3 (Sass or other compiled CSS languages)
- Hands-on experience with modern Frontend DevOps (Vite, Webpack, NPM/Yarn, Babel, CI/CD pipelines)
- Solid testing experience with Jest, Vitest, or Cypress
- Experience building and scaling Micro Frontend Architectures in production
- Led performance optimization initiatives (Core Web Vitals, bundle size, runtime performance)
- Experience developing and testing across multiple browsers, platforms, and devices
- Strong understanding of cross-browser compatibility and responsive design
- 2+ years of direct people management experience (running 1:1s, performance reviews, hiring decisions)
- Proven mentoring experience and ability to coach engineers across seniority levels
- Strong stakeholder management skills — comfortable presenting to executives and influencing without authority
- Experience with agile delivery practices and team-level planning (OKRs, roadmapping, capacity planning)
- Handles team dynamics, resolves conflicts, and ensures healthy collaboration across personalities and seniority levels
- Excellent written and spoken English (B2+ / Upper-Intermediate or higher — comfortable in async written communication, technical documents, and cross-team meetings)
- Self-motivated, independent, organized, proactive, and highly responsive when working with multiple teams
- Empathy, emotional intelligence, and a service-oriented leadership style
- Likes to stay up-to-date on emerging technologies and brings them to the team thoughtfull
