We're looking for a Linux System Administrator to help build, monitor, maintain, automate, and support our rapidly growing hosting infrastructure, powering over 7 million websites across more than 1,500 physical servers globally. Your day-to-day
- Collaborate in Shift Rotations: Respond to product service alerts and incidents, ensuring rapid and effective solutions.
- Troubleshoot Production Issues: Utilize tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and Kibana, with full access to our infrastructure, to debug and resolve complex production issues.
- Maintain Linux Servers: Handle regular maintenance tasks to keep our Linux servers operating at peak performance.
- Enhance Our Tools and Software: Continuously and rapidly improve the tools and software stack, with a strong focus on efficiency.
- Drive Automation Across Projects: Optimize and automate processes using scripting and Ansible, boosting team productivity.
- Solve Complex Technical Problems: Dive deep into the product's technical stack, identify and document root causes of any imperfections, and work collaboratively with your team and others to resolve them.
Your skills and experience
- Linux System Expertise: Experience in Linux system administration with a strong passion for monitoring and ensuring systems run smoothly through monitoring-driven operations.
- Outstanding Communication: Excellent ability to convey clear and concise information to all stakeholders, ensuring everyone stays aligned and informed.
- Meticulous Attention to Detail: A sharp eye for details, ensuring that nothing is overlooked and every aspect of the workflow is fine-tuned.
- Problem-Solving Skills: A deep, technical mindset with the ability to dive into complex issues, debug effectively, and resolve them with precision.
- Troubleshooting Expertise: Proficient in diagnosing and resolving issues across system layers, including OS, application, network, firewall, and service stacks.
