The Role
We are seeking a Provider to serve as the clinical leader and direct supervisor of our provider network, including NPs, W2 MDs, and 1099 physicians.
This role is responsible for clinical quality, provider performance, and day-to-day provider oversight. You will ensure providers are delivering safe, effective, and evidence-based care, while also coaching and developing clinicians to perform at a high level in a virtual care environment.
Working closely with the Director of Provider Operations, you will translate business and operational goals into clinical execution—ensuring that our provider network is not only efficient, but delivering best-in-class care.
What You’ll Own
Clinical Oversight & Quality
- Own clinical quality across the provider network, ensuring adherence to evidence-based guidelines and company care models
- Partner with Clinical Leadership and Quality teams to define, monitor, and improve clinical outcomes
- Conduct chart reviews, audits, and quality assurance processes to maintain high standards of care
- Lead clinical performance improvement initiatives and ensure consistent care delivery across providers
Provider Supervision & Performance Management
- Directly manage and supervise providers (NPs, W2 MDs, and 1099 MDs) - including 1:1s, performance management, team meetings and support
- Establish clear expectations for clinical quality, documentation, patient experience, and productivity
- Provide ongoing feedback, coaching, and performance management to providers
- Partner with Provider Operations to address performance issues, escalations, and remediation plans
Clinical Training & Onboarding
- Lead clinical onboarding and training for new providers, ensuring readiness for independent practice
- Develop and maintain clinical training materials, protocols, and playbooks
- Ensure providers are fully trained on care models, workflows, and technology platforms
- Support ongoing education and upskilling aligned with evolving clinical guidelines and company offerings
Provider Engagement & Clinical Culture
- Build a strong clinical culture centered on quality, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Serve as the primary clinical point of contact and leader for providers
- Create forums for provider feedback, collaboration, and knowledge sharing
- Partner with Provider Operations on engagement and retention strategies
Cross-Functional Clinical Leadership
- Provide clinical input into product development, protocols, and care pathways
- Collaborate with Operations on scaling care delivery while maintaining clinical integrity
- Support regulatory and compliance initiatives related to clinical practice
Qualifications
Required
- MD, DO, or NP with active, unrestricted license
- 7+ years of clinical experience, including telehealth or virtual care
- 3+ years of leadership experience managing or supervising providers
- Strong track record of driving clinical quality and provider performance
- Experience working in cross-functional environments with operations and product teams
Preferred
- Experience in telehealth, digital health, or value-based care models
- Experience managing both W2 and 1099 provider populations
- Background in developing clinical protocols or care models
- Multi-state licensure
