Join us as a Regulatory Reporting Intern to help produce and submit the reports Qonto owes its banking supervisors — accurate, on time, and increasingly automated with AI. You'll sit inside the Risk & Compliance function and report to Vincent, our Regulatory Reporting Lead. Regulatory deadlines aren't negotiable in a bank, so this is a role where rigor and curiosity count for more than prior regulatory knowledge — we'll train you on the rest.
👩💻🧑💻 As a Regulatory Reporting Intern at Qonto, you will
- Produce regulatory reports end to end: Follow established procedures to build and submit monthly and quarterly reports to European supervisors — e.g. FICOBA (France), Fichero de Titularidades (Spain), and Payment Statistics (European Central Bank).
- Use AI every day: Build small LLM-powered bots and lean on Claude, ChatGPT and Notion AI to work faster — from drafting and improving procedures to handling exchanges with non-French/English software providers (including Italian ones).
- Make our data audit-ready: Take SQL queries already written in Metabase and Snowflake and, with AI's help, document and comment them so each step is tied to the regulation behind it — even if you've never written SQL yourself.
- Run quality control: Check regulatory data for anomalies and gaps, working with our Data, Accounting and Finance teams to fix them before a report goes out.
- Improve how we work: Update procedures as you learn them, help sharpen our Regulatory Reporting Cockpit (the internal tool tracking every filing deadline), and own small improvement projects start to finish.
🤔 What you can expect
- An AI-first team, for real: You'll get access to advanced AI tooling and you're expected to experiment — building bots and automating reporting work is part of the job, not a side project.
- European scope: The reports cover Qonto's 8 European markets and feed regulators including the ACPR, Banco de España, Banca d'Italia, BaFin and the ECB.
- A seasonal rhythm: Peak filing months (January, April, July, October) are intense; quieter months go to improvement work and new-regulation analysis (e.g. IFREP).
- Real ownership, fast: Vincent gives space and responsibility once you've shown you can run a report cleanly — expect to be self-directed within a few months, not micromanaged.
- Hybrid work: 3 days in the office, 2 days remote.
🏅 About You
- Curious and ready to learn and it shows in what you've done: Wether it is clubs, side projects, a change of direction — anything that shows you go after things. Regulatory reporting won't sell itself, so you'll need to dig in anyway.
- A well-structured mind: Final-year Master's (M2 preferred), ideally in finance, accounting, data, or a related field — but a sharp, structured thinker matters more than the exact program. A first experience in audit, finance, accounting or a regulated sector is a plus.
- Comfortable with AI: No technical background needed, but a real interest in using AI tools daily and the willingness to figure things out with them.
- Calm under deadline pressure: Late reports have real consequences with regulators, so we need someone who stays autonomous and level-headed when timelines are tight. Good people skills help.
- Languages: Fluent English required. French, Italian, Spanish or German is a plus.
🤝 About your future Manager
Your manager will be Vincent, our Regulatory Reporting Lead.
- His background? Vincent managed regulatory reporting at Rothschild, focused on treasury and asset-liability management at GE Capital, and spent five years as a Senior Consultant at Wolters Kluwer guiding financial institutions through regulatory compliance, before joining Qonto in 2022.
- What he brings to the team? A direct, frank style focused on continuous improvement. He hands over real responsibility once things are working, gives you room to run, and helps you make sense of a dense regulatory landscape without drowning you in it.
