Your Mission
As a Sr. ARI Specialist, you'll own the technical execution of rate loading and rate management across our supply portfolio. You'll start by anchoring rate-related tickets in our ARI Intake board — owning them end-to-end — and grow into one of the team's go-to analysts for complex reporting, root-cause investigation, and proactive monitoring of rate quality and coverage.
Here's what you'll take charge of
- Own rate loading inquiries and tickets piped into the ARI Intake board, from triage through resolution — driving accuracy, turnaround time, and stakeholder communication across every request.
- Investigate, diagnose, and resolve complex rate discrepancies across our supply systems, including GDS-sourced rates and direct-loaded property content.
- Write and maintain SQL queries against our data warehouse to validate rate accuracy, surface gaps in coverage, and answer ad-hoc questions from Sales, Partnerships, and Supply leadership.
- Build Python scripts and automations to streamline repeatable rate-loading and audit workflows — reducing manual effort and improving consistency.
- Maintain and extend Salesforce-based reporting and workflows used to track partner rate programs, requests, and lifecycle.
- Develop weekly and monthly dashboards covering rate quality, coverage, and operational performance against SLAs.
- Partner with Sales, Account Management, and Supply leadership to translate rate signals into action — flagging risks, recommending interventions, and helping prioritize engineering and partner outreach.
- Build and own SOPs and process documentation as rate operations scale.
- Identify automation and process-improvement opportunities and lead them to completion in partnership with Engineering and Data.
What Success Looks Like
In your first 3-6 months you'll
- Take full ownership of rate-related ARI Intake — meeting or beating SLA on triage and resolution.
- Stand up a recurring rate-quality and coverage report that gives the team visibility we don't have today.
- Ship at least one automation (SQL + Python) that materially reduces time on a repeatable rate workflow.
KPIs
Operational Efficiency
- Rate-related ARI tickets triaged and resolved within SLA.
- Reduction in time-on-task across rate-loading workflows through iterative automation.
Rate Quality & Coverage
- Quality and coverage of rate monitoring across the supply portfolio.
- Stakeholder satisfaction with rate-related reporting and analysis.
Documentation & Process
- Quality and coverage of ARI / rate operations SOPs and process mapping.
What You'll Bring to Engine
Required
- 3+ years in a technical operations, business analyst, or analytics role — ideally with exposure to rate management, pricing operations, or inventory operations.
- Strong working proficiency in SQL — you can independently write queries against a modern warehouse (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery) to investigate and validate data.
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce — reports, dashboards, and ideally light flow / object configuration.
- Python proficiency — comfortable writing scripts to manipulate data, hit APIs, and automate repeatable workflows. (You don't need to be a software engineer, but you write real, reusable code.)
- Strong analytical instincts paired with a “driver, not passenger” ownership mentality.
- Excellent written and spoken English, with the communication chops to work cleanly across U.S.-based Sales, Supply, and Engineering teams.
- Comfortable operating remotely and managing your own throughput in a fast-moving environment.
Nice to Have
- Experience managing rates in a GDS (Amadeus and/or Sabre) — a big plus for this role.
- Prior experience in travel, hospitality, or another rate / inventory-driven industry (OTA, hotel chain, TMC, airline).
- Exposure to Looker (or comparable BI tooling), dbt, or building production data models.
- Experience with REST APIs and tools like Postman.
Why This Role
- High-leverage scope: Rate quality is one of the most direct drivers of Engine's competitive edge. The work you do here moves the needle on Engine-only rates, customer savings, and revenue.
- Real technical depth: This isn't a ticketing job. We're hiring you to write code, query the warehouse, and reshape how rate ops runs.
- Clear growth path: This role is set up to grow into more advanced analytics, monitoring, and broader ownership across the ARI surface as the team scales.
This is a contractor position for candidates based in Latin America only. Applications for this role will be accepted through July 30th, 2026 or until the role is filled. We encourage you to apply early, as we may begin reviewing applications before the deadline.
