Who You Are
- 6+ years of professional full-stack software development experience with proven expertise in both backend and frontend systems
- Expert-level proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Node.js, and Next.js; Python or Go experience is a strong plus
- Strong command of object-oriented programming principles and clean architecture practices for building maintainable, scalable systems
- Proven track record building fintech products such as payment processors, lending platforms, trading systems, or expense management tools
- Deep understanding of distributed systems concepts including consistency models, fault tolerance, and eventual consistency
- Deep expertise architecting secure systems that handle sensitive financial data
- Domain expertise and understanding of KYC, AML, compliance, and financial regulations
- Proficiency with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and proven consulting/contracting experience with strong client management skills
What You'll Do
- Embed with client teams to advise and guide founders on building scalable fintech products—from payment infrastructure to lending platforms to compliance systems
- Design and develop full-stack fintech applications that prioritize security, regulatory compliance, and transaction integrity
- Architect solutions that connect financial infrastructure securely, including integration with payment processors, banking partners, and compliance services
- Mentor client engineering teams on best practices in secure coding, compliance-first design, and financial system reliability
- Lead technical strategy discussions with fintech founders, managing complex project requirements and regulatory constraints
Nice to Have
- Background in traditional finance, investment banking, or regulated financial services
- Familiarity with data warehouse solutions and analytics for financial systems
- Experience with regulatory technology (RegTech) or compliance automation tools
- Relevant industry certifications (security, compliance, or financial services)
