Senior Software Development Engineer (Front-end)

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional frontend development experience building production web applications.
• Hands-on production experience with Svelte (or SvelteKit), including building reusable components and managing component state and reactivity.
• Working proficiency in AngularJS and React — enough to read, maintain, debug, and extend existing code in both frameworks. You won't need to be an expert in either, but you should be comfortable navigating both codebases.
• Strong fundamentals in modern JavaScript (ES2020+); comfort with TypeScript or willingness to ramp up quickly.
• Solid HTML, CSS, and responsive design skills — including familiarity with modern layout techniques (Flexbox, Grid) and CSS preprocessors or utility frameworks.
• Experience consuming and integrating with REST or GraphQL APIs, including handling async state, errors, and edge cases gracefully.

Qualifications

• Work and Lead a small team that owns, builds, and innovates on major new and existing product features
• Coordinate with team management and quality assurance personnel on releases of new features
• 100% remote work within the United States
• Familiarity with frontend testing tools (Playwright, Jest, Vitest, Cypress, or similar) and a habit of writing tests alongside features.
• Working knowledge of Git and modern software development workflows: code review, CI/CD, branching, and Agile/Kanban delivery.
• Demonstrated attention to UI/UX quality, accessibility (WCAG basics), and frontend performance.
• Ability to work remotely and independently within the United States, and to collaborate effectively with non-technical stakeholders.
• Willingness to learn our users' challenges and understand how your work directly affects them.
• B.S. in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent professional experience

Nice to haves

• C# / .NET experience, or familiarity with reading and integrating against a .NET-based application backend.
• Backend development experience — building and maintaining APIs, services, or database-backed business logic alongside frontend work.
• Experience with component libraries, design systems, or building shared UI infrastructure used by multiple teams.
• Familiarity with state management patterns at scale (Svelte stores, Redux, Zustand, React Query, Context patterns).
• Exposure to cloud-hosted environments (AWS) and deployment tooling (Octopus, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar).
• Familiarity with the legal tech domain or other workflow-heavy SaaS products.
• Interest in AI-assisted UX patterns and integrating LLM-powered features into the frontend.
