The Senior UX Designer shapes how users experience bethepeople.org, building engagement, clarity, and excitement around the Be The People movement. You will partner with product, engineering, and content on iterative design, ranging from journey-level rethinking to weekly content and interface improvements informed by real user behavior.
This is an ideal role for a customer-focused UX professional, enthusiastic about building a digital product that inspires bottom-up civic action.

Led by a growing coalition of civic, cultural, business, and community leaders, Be The People connects organizations in communities across the country with millions of Americans ready to do their part to help solve the problems holding people back and invites them to share their stories and inspire others to do the same.
Launched this year, this is a 10-year movement that will activate 205M Americans and 900K leaders through a powerful combination of national storytelling and bottom-up civic action.
How You Will Contribute
Lead UX design for assigned areas of the Be The People platform
Run discovery alongside the Product team, including user interviews, usability testing, and concept validation
Design at multiple altitudes: end-to-end journeys, page-level flows, and weekly content updates
Partner with the engineering team to guide implementation and the design system as the platform evolves
Bring content design judgment to the platform; partner with content owners on voice and clarity
Contribute to design ops practice, including patterns, documentation, and review rituals.
Drive a design culture that supports iterative, evidence-driven product development and creating delightful experiences for users
What You Will Bring
5+ years of product design experience on consumer-facing digital products
Strong portfolio across journey, interface, and content design
Fluency in responsive/mobile design, interaction design, and information architecture
Substantial experience running usability research, user behavior analytics tools, and turning qualitative and quantitative findings into design decisions
Fluency in Figma and modern design system practices, as well as rapid prototyping
Track record of close partnership with engineering teams on iterative delivery
Background in a startup, early-stage, or entrepreneurial environment
Track record of using AI-enabled tools and practices to accelerate your work
Deep experience in accessible design principles and inclusive standards
Enthusiasm to contribute to Stand Together's vision and principled approach to solving problems, and a commitment to stewarding our culture, which champions values including transformation and innovation, entrepreneurialism, humility, and respect
