Your day-to-day responsibilities
- Support AIT and Production teams in running and troubleshooting RF, electronics and satellite‑level test setups, especially in your first months.
- Design, develop and maintain EGSE systems that combine electronics, embedded software and Python-based test automation.
- Capture requirements and define architectures for new test systems together with AIT Engineering, Production and other Engineering teams.
- Implement and debug embedded C/C++ code on ARM‑based MCUs (e.g. STM32, TI), including bring‑up, interface control and communication with instruments.
- Design or adapt electronics for EGSE (schematics, interfaces, power, measurement paths) and work with mechanical engineers on the overall solution.
- Use Python and tools like PyVISA to automate instruments, collect data and improve test workflows.
- Write clear, maintainable documentation and user guides so others can operate and maintain the systems you build.
- Contribute to improving existing legacy test setups, increasing reliability, repeatability and ease of use.
- Collaborate closely with other Smart Manufacturing engineers (mechanical, electronics, software) and share knowledge within the team.
What we’re looking for
Must haves
