🎯 What you will do
At Joko, our goal is to turn social media into a primary engine for brand awareness and user acquisition. As our Social Media Manager, you won’t just manage an inbox; you will own the strategic distribution of Joko’s voice across the digital landscape.
You will bridge the gap between creative production and algorithmic performance. Using a data-first approach and cutting-edge AI tools, you will ensure that every piece of content we produce achieves maximum reach and resonates with our target audience.
You report to Luisa our Head of Brand & Communications will work closely with the whole Marketing team to translate insights, trends, and performance signals into a high-performing social media strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and execute Joko’s social media growth and distribution strategy: You’ll design and run a multi-channel strategy across platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook to maximize reach, engagement, and positive brand sentiment.
- Master platform algorithms and distribution mechanics: You’ll continuously test formats, hooks, posting cadence, and platform-native features to improve organic reach and ensure every piece of content performs at its highest potential.
- Implement AI-powered community operations: You’ll deploy and manage automation tools to handle routine community interactions such as DMs, FAQs, and tagging while maintaining Joko’s tone of voice.
- Act as the human-in-the-loop for high-impact interactions: You’ll step in during sensitive conversations, viral moments, and interactions with brand advocates to ensure thoughtful and on-brand responses.
- Anticipate trends and cultural shifts: You’ll actively monitor social platforms and emerging conversations to identify opportunities for Joko to participate early and stand out.
- Translate trends into actionable creative direction: You’ll turn social insights and cultural signals into clear briefs for the Content Creator to ensure our output remains relevant, distinctive, and thumb-stopping.
- Own social media performance and insights: You’ll manage our social media dashboards, track advanced performance indicators such as share of voice, virality, and assisted conversions, and provide actionable insights to guide our content strategy.
- Expand Joko’s social media ecosystem: You’ll develop initiatives that amplify our reach beyond owned channels, including creator collaborations, ambassador programs, and proactive brand participation in key social conversations.

- Experience: At least 5y experience in Social Media Strategy, Growth Marketing, or Brand Management, preferably in a fast-paced B2C startup or top-tier agency.
- Strategic Mindset: You don't just "post content", you understand how a TikTok video fits into a 12-month brand vision.
- AI Savvy: You are excited about us
ing AI to automate the boring parts of the job so you can focus on the big picture.
- Data Literacy: You are comfortable with data visualization tools and can turn a spreadsheet of metrics into a compelling narrative for the CMO.
- Editorial Excellence: Native in French and perfect English proficiency. You have a "social-first" writing style (witty, concise, and perfectly aligned with Joko's DNA).
- Project Leadership: Ability to lead a content calendar and coordinate between the Creative, Growth, and Brand teams without losing sight of deadlines.
- Growth Instinct: You are obsessed with virality mechanics and have a proven track record of growing accounts or launching successful social campaigns.
