Your Mission
As an AI Automations Engineer at Engine, you'll design and build intelligent automation solutions that streamline operations across the organization. Partnering with Client Operations, Finance, People, and other G&A teams, you'll leverage AI, workflow automation, and integration tools to eliminate manual work and drive efficiency at scale. Here's what you'll take charge of:
- Build Automation Solutions: Design, develop, and deploy automation workflows that reduce manual effort and improve accuracy across back-office functions.
- Leverage AI & Emerging Tech: Apply artificial intelligence, machine learning, and modern automation tools to solve complex operational challenges and unlock new efficiencies.
- Partner Across Departments: Collaborate with Client Operations, Finance, People, and other G&A teams to identify automation opportunities, gather requirements, and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
- Integrate Systems: Build and maintain integrations between platforms (Salesforce, JIRA, HRIS, ERP, etc.) to enable seamless data flow and process automation.
- Ensure Quality & Reliability: Develop robust, well-documented solutions with proper error handling, monitoring, and testing to ensure long-term stability.
- Drive Continuous Improvement: Monitor automation performance, identify optimization opportunities, and iterate on solutions based on user feedback and data.What You'll Bring to Engine

We're looking for someone ready to make an impact
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in automation engineering, process automation, or a related technical role. Experience in a SaaS or high-growth environment is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with automation platforms (Workato, Zapier, Make, or similar), scripting languages (Python, JavaScript), and API integrations. Experience with AI/ML tools and LLM-based automation is highly valued. Strong grasp of Salesforce data model, APIs, and integration patterns; ability to configure actions, connect data sources, and troubleshoot agent workflows.
- Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with Salesforce, JIRA, and common business systems (HRIS, ERP, finance tools) is a plus.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical mindset with the ability to break down complex processes and design scalable, elegant solutions.
- Collaboration: Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner with non-technical stakeholders and translate business needs into technical requirements.
- Agentforce Skills: 1+ year(s) of Agentforce (or equivalent agent building experience) preferred
- Mindset: Self-starter with a passion for automation and AI. You're curious, resourceful, and excited to build things that make people's work easier.
