What you'll do
- Strategic Full-Cycle Ownership: Manage multiple, complex searches for niche engineering roles, overseeing the entire lifecycle from initial research and market mapping to complex offer negotiations and closing.
- Executive Partnership: Meet regularly with hiring managers and leadership to deeply understand technical requirements, team dynamics, and the critical success factors for our hardware mission.
- Innovative Sourcing & Pipeline Building: Design and execute advanced, data-driven sourcing strategies to engage both active and passive candidates, ensuring a robust pipeline of top-tier mechanical and hardware talent.
- Process Architecture: Collaborate across all levels of the organization to drive a structured, disciplined, and measured hiring process that maintains a high bar for talent and ensures an exceptional candidate experience.
- Market Intelligence: Act as a subject matter expert on the hardware talent market, using industry benchmarks and recruiting data to influence hiring decisions and align stakeholders.
- Creative Outreach: Identify and implement non-traditional ways to build talent pools through customized outreach, specialized networking, and engineering-centric community engagement.
What you'll bring
- Proven Expertise: 8+ years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience, with a minimum of 3+ years specifically dedicated to Mechanical or Hardware Engineering.
- Hardware Fluency: A deep understanding of the lifecycle of physical products—from initial R&D and rapid prototyping to Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and complex supply chain integration.
- Strategic Influence: Demonstrated ability to influence executive stakeholders through the use of recruiting metrics, data integrity, and a partnership-first mindset.
- Technical Versatility: A strong track record of recruiting for Mechanical, Electrical, or Physical Science roles within a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Flexibility: Operate within a lean, high-leverage team where you will seamlessly pivot between high-level talent strategy and hands-on execution across diverse technical work streams.
- Advanced Tech Stack Mastery: You are a power-user of modern recruiting tools (we use LinkedIn Recruiter and Ashby)
- Exceptional Communication: Superior organizational skills and the ability to articulate Form Energy’s mission to high-level technical talent while managing complex stakeholder relationships across multiple searches.
