These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Sydicom platform at https://sydicom.app (the “Service”), operated by Sydicom, a company registered in Nigeria (“Sydicom”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, do not use the Service.
1. What Sydicom does
Sydicom is a career agent that helps job seekers find and prepare for jobs faster. After you upload your CV and set your preferences, our system:
- Aggregates open job listings from public applicant-tracking-system (ATS) sources.
- Scores how well each job matches your profile so you see the best fits first.
- On your explicit per-job request, generates an Answer Pack, it reads that job’s real application-form questions from the employer’s ATS and drafts copy-paste-ready answers based on your CV, for you to review and paste yourself.
- On your explicit per-job request, generates a tailored version of your CV and a personalized cover letter for you to review, edit, and download.
- Analyzes your resume and suggests improvements you can apply.
- Opens the employer's application page so you can submit the application yourself.
You submit your own applications.Sydicom prepares the documents and the Answer Pack and opens the employer’s application page; the final submission is always performed by you. Sydicom reads the public application-form questions for the Answer Pack but never submits an application on your behalf and never auto-fills forms without you.
Sydicom is not a recruiter, employer, or staffing agency. We do not guarantee that any application will result in an interview or job offer. Hiring decisions are made entirely by the employer.
2. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
- You must provide accurate information when creating your account and keep it up to date.
- You may only create one account per person. Multiple accounts may be terminated without refund.
- You must have the legal right to seek employment in any country where you apply to jobs found through Sydicom.
3. Your responsibilities
You agree to the following when using Sydicom:
- Truthful CV. Your CV must accurately represent your real experience, skills, and qualifications. You must not upload a CV with fabricated employment history, fake credentials, or material misrepresentations.
- Review before you submit. Sydicom generates tailored CVs and cover letters as drafts. You are responsible for reviewing and editing them before you submit any application. Because you perform the final submission yourself, you are legally responsible for the content of every application you send.
- Honest content. Our tools are prompted never to fabricate experience, but you remain responsible for ensuring everything you submit accurately reflects you. Always review the generated cover letter and tailored CV before sending.
- No abuse. You must not use the Service to spam employers, apply to roles you have no genuine interest in, scrape, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the platform’s normal operation.
- Account security. Keep your sign-in credentials confidential. You are responsible for any activity on your account.
4. Credits, payments, and refunds
- How credits work. Sydicom uses a credit system. Credits come with a subscription plan, can be bought as top-ups, and can be earned through referrals. Credits are spent on generation tools, and every tool shows its exact credit price next to its button before you spend anything. Some actions, like re-analyzing your resume, are free. Top-up credits you buy directly do not expire; credits included with a subscription plan are valid for that plan’s period.
- Purchases. Credit packs are sold in fixed sizes. Nigerian users are billed in Naira (NGN) via Paystack; international users are billed in US Dollars (USD) via Dodo Payments.
- Currency. If you are billed in a currency other than your local one, the actual amount charged by your bank may differ slightly due to your card issuer’s exchange rate.
- Automatic refunds on failure. If a generation fails for technical reasons on our side after a credit was deducted, the credit is automatically refunded to your balance. You do not need to request anything.
- No general refunds. Outside of the automatic-failure refund above, purchased credits are non-refundable. This is because each generation consumes real third-party compute and model costs.
- Pricing changes. We may change credit pack pricing in future. Any change applies to new purchases only, credits already in your balance keep their original value.
5. Agent-generated content
Sydicom uses large language models to generate Answer Pack answers, tailored CV content, cover letters, resume suggestions, and summaries. This output is created algorithmically and, despite our safeguards, may occasionally contain errors, awkward phrasing, or omit context that a human writer would include.
Generated documents are provided to you as editable drafts. You are responsible for reviewing, correcting, and approving any content before you submit it to an employer. Because you perform the final submission yourself, you accept responsibility for the consequences of what you send.
6. Third-party services and employer websites
The Service relies on third-party providers (described in our Privacy Policy) and links you out to third-party employer websites and applicant-tracking systems where you submit your applications. Sydicom does not control those systems. We are not responsible for:
- Outages, errors, or changes to third-party ATS forms.
- How employers process, store, or respond to applications after you submit them.
- The accuracy of the job listings we ingest from public sources.
- Any change in third-party providers’ pricing, availability, or terms.
7. Intellectual property
- Your content. You retain all rights to your CV and any personal information you provide. By using Sydicom you grant us a limited license to store, process, transform, and submit that content for the sole purpose of providing the Service to you.
- Our platform. Sydicom, the source code, the Sydicom name and logo, and all related materials are owned by Sydicom and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative works from them without permission.
- Generated content. Tailored CVs and cover letters generated for you are yours to use for your job search. You may not resell them or use them to build a competing service.
8. Account termination
- By you. You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete account. Deletion is permanent and removes your profile, CV, application history, and tailored documents. Any credits remaining on your account at deletion are forfeited and are not refundable.
- By us. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms (e.g. fabricated CVs, abuse, fraud, or repeated chargebacks) without refund. Where possible we will warn you first.
- Surviving provisions. Sections on intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law survive termination.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sydicom disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any application submitted through Sydicom will be received, considered, or result in a job offer.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sydicom’s total cumulative liability to you for all claims arising from or related to the Service in any 12-month period is limited to the total fees you have paid to Sydicom during that 12-month period.
In no event shall Sydicom be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, loss of employment opportunities, or loss of data, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sydicom, its officers, employees, and partners from any claim, demand, or damage (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of:
- Your breach of these Terms.
- Your misuse of the Service.
- Any false or misleading information contained in a CV you upload.
- Your violation of any law or of any employer's application terms.
12. Governing law and dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the competent courts of Lagos, Nigeria, unless mandatory local law requires otherwise for consumers in your country of residence.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time as the Service evolves. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. For material changes we will notify active users by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
