A job search shouldn’t be harder because of how you browse the web. Sydicom is built so that everyone, including people who rely on a keyboard, a screen reader, magnification, or high-contrast settings, can find and apply for jobs on equal footing.
Our standard
We build to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, the same standard referenced by the ADA and most accessibility laws worldwide. Accessibility is part of how we review every change before it ships, not an afterthought.
What this means in practice
- Keyboard friendly. Every interactive part of the app — filters, the job feed, dialogs, the apply flow — can be reached and operated with the keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline so you always know where you are.
- Screen-reader support. Buttons, links, form fields, and dynamic updates carry proper labels and roles so assistive technology can announce them clearly. Dialogs trap and restore focus correctly.
- Readable contrast. Text and key controls meet WCAG AA contrast ratios, and we never rely on color alone to convey meaning.
- Resizes and reflows. The interface stays usable at up to 200% zoom and on small screens, without losing content or breaking layout.
- Clear structure. Pages use real headings, landmarks, and lists so you can navigate by structure, plus a skip-to-content link.
Ongoing work
Accessibility is never “done”. Automated checks catch only part of the picture, so we also test with the keyboard and screen readers, and we keep improving as the product grows. If you hit a barrier, telling us about it is the fastest way to get it fixed.
Tell us about a barrier
If any part of Sydicom is hard to use with your assistive technology, email support@sydicom.app with the page and what got in your way. We treat accessibility reports as a priority and will work with you to find an alternative while we fix it.
