Are you a seasoned professional in Remote Sensing payload/satellite/system engineering and Remote Sensing payload/satellite/system monitoring programs?
Novaspace Technology, a global leading consulting firm in the space sector, is looking for freelance Remote Sensing Payload/Satellite/System Resident Experts to monitor and oversee the design, assembly, integration, and testing (AIT) of satellite Remote Sensing payload/satellite/system.
As a Remote Sensing (Synthetic Aperture Radar, SAR, or Electro-Optical, EO) Payload/Satellite/System Resident Expert, you will:
- Monitor the day-to-day Remote Sensing payload/satellite/system design, development, integration, and test campaigns, ensuring compliance with specifications and requirements at manufacturer’s sites
- Provide technical oversight, identifying potential issues early and maintaining a strong focus on schedule adherence.
- Prepare and participate in critical design, manufacturing, and testing review meetings, including in-orbit test and Calibration/Validation (Cal/Val) campaigns.
- Collaborate with our customer’s Program Management Office and maintain clear communication with all stakeholders.
- Deliver timely progress reports to keep the team informed and aligned on Remote Sensing payload development activities.
Desired skills & experience
- A master’s degree in telecommunications, Radio Frequency, Remote Sensing Instruments, Satellite and Systems (Synthetic Aperture Radar, SAR, or Electro-Optical, EO), aerospace or equivalent.
- 15+ years of experience in Remote Sensing (SAR or EO) payload/satellite/system engineering, including AIT and Cal/Val campaigns. The mandatory need is Remote Sensing instrument expertise, but being complemented with satellite and system expertise will be considered as an asset
- Excellent communication and reporting skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proven leadership, analytical, and organizational skills.
Location
- Manufacturer facilities in Europe, with potential assignments to relevant sites as required.…
