About you
You're a senior commercial claims professional who's genuinely energised by the work — not just managing a book, but getting the right outcome for customers in difficult situations. You make sound decisions under pressure, you don't need to be told what to do next, and you're trusted by brokers and carriers because you know your stuff and do what you say you will.
You're also someone who's excited by the idea of building something. This isn't a role where you inherit someone else's playbook. We're launching a new ISR product and you'll help shape how claims operates from the ground up.
What you'll need
- 7–10 years of commercial insurance claims experience with a focus on ISR and commercial property (we'll flex on experience for the right person)
- A background at an insurer, MGA or Lloyd's syndicate — Allianz, QBE, IAG, Suncorp, Berkshire Hathaway or equivalent
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex, high-value claims independently including large loss and CAT events
- Strong coverage analysis and reserving skills, with sound knowledge of the Insurance Contracts Act, GICOP and AFCA processes
- Experience managing external service providers and maintaining carrier relationships
- A genuine focus on customer outcomes — this matters more to us than almost anything else
- ANZIIF CIP or equivalent qualification (desirable)
More than a job

- Flexible working — we encourage you to create the best blend of home and office
- Access to professional and personal development opportunities
- We encourage involvement in the community, open source work, attending talks and events, and experimenting with new technologies
