Responsibilities
Your role is to develop new concepts and craft world-beating copy that convert traffic into eager and knowledgeable users of our products. You will:
- Develop a consistent tone of voice for Reedsy across multiple channels;
- Own and evolve our brand guidelines;
- Help onboard writers to ensure consistency across every channel;
- Write copy for our landing pages, lead magnets, email campaigns, newsletters and social media posts;
- Come up with new creative ideas to convert our traffic;
- Review copy performance (open rates, click-through, conversions) and use those learnings to sharpen future work;
- Work closely with a team of content creators (writers, illustrators, animators, and YouTubers) on ad and modal copy, graphic assets, storyboards and video scripts; and
- Bring a high standard to your own copy and honest, useful feedback to everyone else's.
Person Specification
- Both a very analytical and highly creative individual;
- Experience creating conversion copy for large-scale campaigns at a fast-growth startup;
- A varied portfolio of copy, from short form to long form;
- Ability to write with range, from playful campaign headlines to technical writing concepts;
- Proven experience shaping brand guidelines and tone of voice;
- Familiarity with the publishing industry and writing craft concepts;
- Experience with email marketing, conversion optimization and A/B testing;
- Familiarity with Google Analytics and other analytics tools; and
- Native-level English speaker.
