About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to own the strategy, discovery, and delivery of Gift Cart so it becomes a scalable, reliable, and revenue-driving giving surface: higher AOV, higher multi‑designation rate, and strong adoption—without compromising payment/ledger correctness, risk posture, and operability.
Gift Cart is a Fundraise Up product that lets donors choose multiple causes to support and complete everything in a single checkout. It gives nonprofits a new way to present their programs, increase average gift size, and deepen donor engagement beyond a standard donation form.
Gift Cart is live and growing: used by organizations running programs from humanitarian aid to symbolic animal adoptions. This role spans the full product lifecycle — from strategy and roadmap to engineering-ready execution and launch.
What You’ll Do
- Define the Gift Cart strategy and translate it into a roadmap — with clear priorities and reasoning behind every decision.
- Communicate with customers and CSMs regularly, and analyze data together with the analytics team — to find growth opportunities and make informed decisions.
- Write specifications that engineers can build from — with detailed requirements and edge cases covered.
- Take features from idea to launch, working closely with design and engineering at every step.
- Track product health and growth: conversion, average gift size, error rates — and understand what's driving them.
- Prepare CSMs and Sales for every launch so they're always in context ahead of time.
- Keep stakeholders aligned — on priorities, timelines, and changes in plans.
Requirements
- Experience owning a product area end-to-end — you take responsibility for outcomes, not just tasks.
- Ability to build a strategy and roadmap for 12–24 months — and clearly explain the reasoning behind your decisions.
- Data-driven: you analyze funnels, understand the numbers, and know where to look for growth opportunities.
- You write specifications engineers can build from — clear, with edge cases covered and no open questions left.
- Systems thinker: you see the product as a whole, understand dependencies, and anticipate the impact of decisions.
- Strong UX sensibility: you know what makes an experience good and can advocate for it with your team.
- Comfortable working across functions — design, engineering, analytics, and business stakeholders.
- At Fundraise Up, AI is a default tool, not an experimental one. We expect every team member to actively use AI in their day-to-day work, identify where AI can change the shape of problems in their function, and grow their fluency as the tools evolve. You should already be using AI meaningfully in your work and understand where it adds value and how it can improve the way you operate.
Nice to Have
- Experience in e-commerce or products with multi-step checkout flows.
- Experience working with nonprofits, donors, or in the fundraising industry.
- Experience with payment flows or financial products.
Working Model
- High ownership and direct collaboration with dedicated Engineering TL, Engineering, Design, Analytics, CSM, and Sales teams.
- We use AI to accelerate analysis, specs, and communication — with clear assumptions and validation.
