The Role
LemFi is looking for a Social Media Manager who understands the UK's diverse diaspora communities — not just as an audience, but as communities you're genuinely part of or deeply connected to. This is a creative, video-first role where your job is to make LemFi feel relevant, authentic, and worth talking about across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and X.
You'll be the person shaping how LemFi shows up online in the Anglophone corridor — turning cultural moments, community conversations, and real stories into content that moves people
How You'll Contribute
- Own and manage LemFi's social channels: Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and X — including transforming X into a genuine engagement channel.
- Develop a consistent, video-first content calendar that reflects the real lives and interests of UK diaspora communities.
- Spot cultural trends, conversations, and moments before they go mainstream — and move quickly when they do.
- Write sharp, engaging captions and social copy that feels native to each platform.
- Build and nurture online communities — creating spaces where LemFi's audience feels seen, heard, and connected.
- Identify, engage, and manage relationships with creators, influencers, and community partners who speak authentically to our audience.
- Direct and collaborate with videographers, photographers, and content creators to bring ideas to life.
- Monitor performance metrics, draw insights, and use them to improve content strategy over time.
- Help shape LemFi's brand voice and social strategy.
Who You Are
- You have a strong aesthetic sense — you know what looks good and why it works on each platform.
- You're connected to UK diaspora communities and understand the cultural nuances that make content resonate versus fall flat.
- You spot trends before they become mainstream and know how to act on them quickly.
- You build genuine relationships — with audiences, with creators, and with collaborators.
- You're proactive: you identify opportunities and act on them without waiting to be told.
- You're a storyteller who understands that the best content doesn't feel like marketing.
What You'll BringRequired
- 3-5+ years of social media experience, ideally at a brand with a multicultural or diaspora-facing audience.
- Strong content creation skills — especially video — and a portfolio that demonstrates cultural relevance and creative instinct.
- Deep understanding of UK diaspora communities and how they engage with brands on social media.
- Hands-on experience across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and X.
- Experience managing influencer and content creator relationships.
- Strong written communication and community management skills.
- Comfortable directing shoots and working with external creative talent.
Nice to have
- Experience working with multicultural brands or community organisations.
- Video editing skills — CapCut, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar.
- Additional language skills relevant to UK diaspora communities.
