The Role
As a Tax Assistant Manager at LemFi, you will play a central role in ensuring our global tax compliance and supporting the business as we expand across continents. Reporting to the Head of Tax, you’ll manage corporate tax processes, monitor international tax risks, and support both direct and indirect tax activities.
This is an excellent opportunity for a someone looking to move in-house or further develop their experience within a small, high-performing team. You’ll gain broad exposure across corporation tax, VAT, and employment taxes, while playing a key role in building a world-class tax function to support LemFi’s global growth.
How You’ll Contribute
- Global Tax Compliance: Lead the end-to-end management of global corporation tax compliance, acting as the main liaison for external advisers across all tax jurisdictions.
- Permanent Establishment Oversight: Monitor global PE risk and ensure adherence to local regulations.
- Indirect Tax Support: Assist with VAT compliance and filings in multiple countries, learning from complex international scenarios.
- Tax Data & Workflow Improvements: Support the finance team to identify opportunities to streamline tax workflows, improve data accuracy, and enhance automation.
- Advisory & Research: Conduct tax research, including VAT implications for new markets and employment tax considerations for our expanding global workforce.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Finance, Legal, and People teams to ensure tax considerations are integrated into everyday decision-making.

What You’ll Bring
- Experience: Must have experience in a corporate tax environment.
- Qualifications: ACA and/or CTA qualified (or equivalent), with strong technical foundations in corporate tax.
- Technical Expertise: Solid understanding of UK corporate tax, with knowledge of IFRS and international subsidiary structures.
- Adviser Engagement: Experience coordinating with external tax advisers and managing responses.
- Desirable Exposure: Familiarity with U.S. tax reporting, VAT, or employment taxes.
- Skills: Strong proficiency in Excel and financial software for analysis and reporting.
- Growth Mindset: Eager to learn, flexible in approach, and motivated by building in a scaling environment.
