Key Responsibilities
- Support the Sales Compensation Manager with the monthly, quarterly, and annual commissions cycle, including data validation, calculation, review, and payout processing.
- Calculate commissions and incentive payouts across multiple compensation plans with varying performance metrics, quotas, accelerators, and SPIFs.
- Administer and maintain commission plans, payees, quotas, and crediting rules within Everstage (or a comparable ICM platform).
- Reconcile sales data, bookings, and CRM records against commission statements to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Respond to commissions-related inquiries from sales representatives, managers, and internal stakeholders in a timely and professional manner.
- Investigate and resolve disputes, adjustments, true-ups, clawbacks, and retroactive changes, documenting outcomes clearly.
- Partner with Sales Operations, Finance, HR, and Payroll to ensure timely and accurate payouts.
- Assist in the preparation of commission statements, dashboards, and reports for sales leadership and finance.
- Identify opportunities to streamline and automate commissions workflows, and support process documentation and SOP updates.
- Maintain confidentiality and a high level of accuracy when handling sensitive compensation data.
- Support audit, SOX, and internal control requirements related to commissions as needed.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in commissions, sales compensation, sales operations, or a related finance/operations role.
- Hands-on experience administering commissions in Everstage, or equivalent experience with another ICM platform such as CaptivateIQ, Xactly, Spiff, Varicent, or Performio.
- Demonstrated experience calculating payouts across multiple commission plans with different performance metrics, quotas, tiers, and accelerators.
- Strong proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, including formulas, pivot tables, lookups, and large-dataset manipulation.
- Solid understanding of sales compensation concepts: quotas, attainment, accelerators, draws, clawbacks, true-ups, and crediting rules.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex calculations clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to manage competing priorities, meet recurring deadlines, and work independently in a contract capacity.
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct experience configuring or administering Everstage (plan setup, crediting rules, payee management, dispute workflows).
- Experience working with CRM and data sources such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or NetSuite.
- Experience supporting commissions in a SaaS or subscription-based business.
- Familiarity with SOX controls and audit requirements related to sales compensation.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
